Secured Project – Knightsbridge, London SW1X – £2.7m
Raphael have won a contract with Sir Robert McAlpine to refurbish 55-93 Knightsbridge. The project is retaining its 120m long Edwardian Grade 2 listed façade whilst rebuilding behind to provide apartments. The development also incorporates 18 new retail units to the ground floor with over 18,000 sq ft of commercial space above.
Secured Project – Hilton Hotel, Woking GU21 – £2.4m
Raphael are delighted to be working with Sir Robert McAlpine again at the new Hilton Hotel in Woking, Surrey. The near 100m high luxury hotel is at the centre of an ambitious £540m regeneration project that also includes 125,000 sq ft of retail space, a medical centre and two public plazas.
Secured Project – 25 Cannon Street, London EC4N – £2.4m
Raphael have been awarded a contract at 25 Cannon Street by BAM Construction to provide carpentry and joinery services to deliver a comprehensive modernisation of 168,000 sq ft of office and mixed use space. In the heart of London’s square mile the property overlooks St Pauls Cathedral.
Secured Project – Lords Cricket Ground, London NW8 – £200k
Raphael are proud to be working with ISG and MCC at Lords Cricket Ground to erect two new three-tiered stands positioned each side of the JP Morgan Media Centre. The new stands will increase ground capacity to 31,000 and include 400 Debenture seats plus hospitality areas.
Secured Project – Wembley W03, London HA9 – £2.2m
Raphael are delighted to be working with McLaren on the new build development of Wembley Park. Located on this landmark plot adjacent to Wembley Stadium, plot W03 will provide approx. 320,000 sq ft of residential and retail space. The mixed-use project comprises of two blocks, one of 10 storeys and the second of 15 storeys. The blocks include 340 Build to Rent units with associated common spaces and ground floor retail units.
Secured Project – Wellington House, London SW19 – £300k
Working once again with ISG, this project includes the refurbishment of ground floor retail spaces and existing offices with the addition of a roof extension to nearly double the existing internal area. The new Wellington House, designed as a ‘gateway’ to Wimbledon, will be a significant improvement to the existing and provide a positive contribution in the heart of Wimbledon Hill Road Conservation Area.
Secured Project – St Paul’s School Phase 2, Barnes SW13 – £1.3m
Having successfully completed our Phase 1 works at St Paul’s School in 2017 Raphael will be back on site in 2019 to deliver Phase 2, again working with Geoffrey Osborne. The works will include a new atrium with mezzanine; a chapel with memorial boards; a secular hall; a new Montgomery Room opening onto Founders’ Court; pupil changing rooms; another 20 classrooms; and administrative offices.
Secured Project – 425 Oxford Street, London W1 – £250k
Raphael will be working with Sir Robert McAlpine to provide a 4000 sq m flagship retail store for Adidas on Oxford Street in the heart of London’s West End. The project involves the reconfiguration and extension of the lower five floors of this ten storey building to create a self-contained five storey retail unit with a main entrance on Oxford Street.
Health & Safety League Winner

Demelza Hospice for Children
Raphael are proud to have supported the construction of an extension by Osborne Construction at the Demelza Children’s Hospice in Eltham, South East London. The team worked tirelessly to deliver the ‘Space to Grow’ project that has ensured the hospice has the right room and space to deliver its outstanding care. The transformation of the building took just 14 days and was opened on 5th December 2017 by Lady Penny Lancaster-Stewart.
Hersham FC
Raphael Contracting are proud to be sponsoring local football team Hersham FC. The club is currently top of the Guildford & Woking Alliance Premier Division and targeting promotion in 2019.
Elly’s Fundraising Walk
On Saturday 12th June 2018, Elly walked from London to Oxford totalling 104k (65 Miles) continuously through the day and night (26 hours), equating to 145,000 steps in the fight against heart disease. Despite the distance Elly still managed a sprint across the finishing line! In total Elly raised £912 for the British Heart Foundation.
James’ Triathlon
James completed the Royal Windsor Triathlon in June 2018 in a time of 2 hours 57 minutes to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Raphael have recently secured the carpentry & joinery package at Epworth House, EC2A. Working in conjunction with BAM the renewal works include additional commercial accommodation at basement floor and an additional rooftop floor.

Completed Project – 20 Old Bailey, London EC4M – £1.5m
Raphael are proud to be working with ISG at 20 Old Bailey. Located opposite the iconic criminal courts, the 1980s era building will undergo a comprehensive modernisation and upgrade programme, involving extensive structural alterations and internal remodelling, renewal of the frontal elevation and the addition of two further floors at roof level. On completion, the building will provide circa 240,000 sq ft of high-specification Cat A office accommodation.
Completed Project – St Paul’s School, Barnes SW13 – £1.2m
Raphael have recently been awarded a carpentry & joinery package at St Paul’s School. The project, through main contractor Geoffrey Osborne, includes a flagship Science building, a new 1000-seat Great Hall, replacement kitchen & dining facilities, a stand-alone circular library and a drama centre with a 240-seat auditorium. At the heart of the scheme are a series of new outdoor spaces including a new central courtyard and a new riverside square overlooking the Thames.

Completed Project – 10 Fenchurch Avenue, London EC3M – £1.0m
Raphael will be working with Sir Robert McAlpine again after we secured a carpentry & joinery package at 10 Fenchurch Avenue. The project will provide 399,000 sq ft of offices and 28,000 sq ft of retail space, including a public sky garden.
